HELPING COMMUNITIES

Quest's food rescue, processing, and preparation activities enrich more than 244 outreach programs across the community. By taking care of the food needs of these organizations and the people they serve, Quest enables them to focus their time, energy, and funding on their core strengths, allowing them to maximize the positive impact they can have on the needs of the community.

Some of Quest's social service agency partners include:

  • neighbourhood houses
  • inner city schools
  • children's daycare centres
  • hospices
  • mental health organizations
  • employment training programs
  • seniors' centres
  • women's shelters
  • recovery homes
  • street youth
  • HIV/AIDS organizations
  • school lunch programs
  • Food banks
Each week we collaborate
to provide food for sixty families-Tuesdays at Britannia Ice Rink and Fridays at Macdonald Elementary School. In another initiative, Quest delivers hot lunch for thirty for our Family Literacy Program every Tuesday... The food program allows Community Education to reach out to many of our neediest citizens...

— Mike Evans
Britannia Community Schools Coordinator

Quest's service area stretches across the Lower Mainland and extends to include Burnaby, New Westminster, North Vancouver, Richmond, Surrey, the Tri-cities, Maple Ridge and Vancouver.
